"All too often the United States starts by dictating ..."

-- President Barack Obama, to the Muslim world

So, instead of dictating to other countries, we're just going to ignore them and do what we want?

That's the message sent by the Obama administration last week, when it sent four Guantanamo Bay detainees to Bermuda -- without even telling Britain.

Apparently, the deal was struck with officials in Bermuda, without regard for Britain's role in its island colony's security and foreign affairs -- something that U.S. officials well know of, or should have known.

There's being dictated to, and then there's being left out of the conversation all together.

Is one better than the other?

Darn right the US starts

Darn right the US starts dictating...we have given enough American blood and lives to have the right to dictate. Especially in Europe. Our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen have sacrificed much to save that continent from itself on more than one occassion. I can remember at least 2 times in the last century - WWI and WWII. Maybe we should have just sat back and let them destroy themselves so they felt all comfy cozy that we weren't interferring with them.

As the Obama messiah grows

As the Obama messiah grows more bold in his position, many things will take place that shouldn't ...as has already happened. America will be offered the chance to be a dictatorship before the 2012 "election".

So, we take these butchers
Unpublished

So, we take these butchers away from a maximum security compound like Gitmo and send them to the sunny shores of Bermuda. Yeah, that'll teach them not to bomb our people. This sure shows Obama's brilliance in dealing with world terrorism. This story deserves a place on Johnboy and Billy's "The World of Dumb!" Way to go, King O! Love the "hope and change!"

Arrogance and blind ambition

Arrogance and blind ambition come in all colors, fruitpaper. Just because the President is black, some think that criticism of him is racism. Equality means he has to take his lumps like everyone else. His policies are dangerous and I hope he fails.

southern: You and PT show

southern: You and PT show your ignorance with every post. You don't let facts stand in the way of your idiotic drivel. The Uighurs were cleared under the BUSH Administration years ago. The Bush Admin unsuccessfully tried to find somewhere to resettle them (other than China, where they'd be executed).BTW: The Uighurs weren't picked up on the battlefield by our military (or any other). They were turned in by bounty hunters for cash.

TechLover, yeah, somewhat, on

TechLover, yeah, somewhat, on the Uighurs. They were hanging with bad company, just by accident. The point being, O does what he wishes, regardless of international agreements, unless he can say something to make America look bad. Your blinders see only what you're told to see.

Bottom Line: Dictating to

Bottom Line: Dictating to other countries what they should do has failed. Working through diplomacy is something that must be done, that was never done in the previous failed administration.

ACE; What are you complaining

ACE; What are you complaining about? You people did not want them here, so he found a place for them. Now you are writing about another country, that took them. It is none of your buisness, who, what, where.Keep worring about the USA.If Bush had done what he was sussposed to do, they would have had a place to go after they had a TRIAL!!!! He had no intentions of giving them a trial. As long as the president, don't ask you to house them in your house, don't worry about where they are!!!!!

The only hope for the long

The only hope for the long term freedom of this country is if this president fails.....fails in his attempt to take over industry....fails in his attempt to take over the banks.....fails in his attempt to take over healthcare.....fails in his attempt to dictate what we eat and drink....and fails in his attempt to seize more and more of out money. Yes, I hope he fails in his attempts to do all of these things. Why, because I would rather be free than government controlled. I would rather be free than taken care of to government standards. I do not think this country will fail if this marxist/socialist president fails. On the contrary. I think this country will reemerge stronger and more vibrant if this socialist regime fails. Socialism is like a cancer. It continues to spread unless caught in it's early stage and removed.

Shiv, diplomacy would have

Shiv, diplomacy would have had us conferring with the UK before shipping their territory these fine individuals. thats like the UK shipping off IRA club members to Puerto Rico without telling DC. Thats the point. And you dont think our current administration is not dictating? Please.

Why are the CONServatives so

Why are the CONServatives so worried about these people getting out of a solitary confinement jail for? Are they concerned that a reporter might find out they actually have been incarserated for absolutely nothing other than being of the wrong religion? BTW is the AC suggesting that the Bermuda people can't make their own decisions?

The bottom line is that

The bottom line is that people believe everything they see and hear on TV, radio, and the blogs. Do you people understand, that they, the media, do not have any credentials. The media takes facts and figures to promote their own agenda adding or taking away from the truth then disseminating their propaganda to sway the people into believing falsehoods to prove their own agenda.

AAQUEEN, You do realize that

AAQUEEN, You do realize that many have been cited calling BUSH a failure. And yet this country survived. How is it that if Obama fails, it has to be tied to all of us? As far as I can see, Obama has not one clue as to what the hell he is supposed to be doing. He just opens his mouth(usually with the aid of a teleprompter) and let's it fly. Then when he is asked for specifics on anything, he sputters. IF all of those that voted for him call that "leadership" more power to you...the rest of us will be hoping he fails because what he IS doing looks alot like Socialism, and given Maxine Waters slip of the tongue during a congressional hearing, WE KNOW THAT SOCIALISM IS ON THEIR MINDS!

Obama is the master of not

Obama is the master of not taking responsibility. The white house is not for taxing employer health care benefits, but is not against congress taxing employer health care benefits. Now I understand the phrase "forked tongue!"

I love my President. I just love what he is doing for the country. I am so happy that we are not living under W anymore. I feel sorry for the Republican Party. Nah! Life is good the sun is shining today. The sky has not fallen as yet, and if it does it is sure to drop on the CSRA. Why because God is a Democratic Liberal! Socialism Rules!
