MARTINEZ, Ga. - Georgia Ann Blackwelder, 68, entered into rest on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family. Georgia was born on September 15, 1940 to the late George and Janice McNeill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Blackwelder. She was the owner of Carpenter's Art Gallery, and had previously worked for Channel 12 and more recently Taylor Auto Group. Georgia spent the past 30 years in the Augusta-Martinez area. She is survived by her daughter, Jan L. (Keith) Bryant of Martinez; two sons, James R. (Dana) Blackwelder of Evans and Jeffery D. Blackwelder of Columbia, SC; sister, Sharon Trulove; two brothers, James W. and Robert "Pete" McNeill; grandchildren, Robert Blackwelder of Evans, and Taylor Bryant of Martinez, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 2p.m. to 5p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 at Montezuma United Methodist Church in Montezuma, KS. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Trinity Hospice.
