John B. Brown (GRANITEVILLE, S.C.)

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Mr. John B. "JB" Brown, 77, of Old Cherokee Indian Road, entered into rest May 30, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Jacksonville Missionary Baptist Church with Minister Teresa Jennings officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Brown, a native of Aiken County, was a member of Jacksonville Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Rosa B. Mims Brown of the home; three daughters, Min. Teresa (Alfonso) Jennings and Viola Brown, North Augusta, and Gloria Brown, Ridge Spring, S.C.; five sons, Roy (Glennice) Brown, North Augusta, Johnny (Cindy) Brown, Stanley Brown, Graniteville, S.C., Ronald McKie, Aiken, S.C. and Donald (Yvonne) McKie, Dublin, Ga.; four sisters, Alice Thomas, Aiken, Helen (Ollie) Leaverette, Graniteville, Mozelle Jones, North Augusta, and Martha (Johnnie) Johnson, Beech Island, S.C.; six brothers, Clifford (Carrie) Brown, Alonzo (Dorothy) Brown, Bennie (Leslie) Brown, and Jimmy Brown, Philadelphia, Pa., Clem Brown, Sr. and Ernest Brown, Graniteville; goddaughter, Thomasina Dais; brother-in-law, Lemiah (Rachel) Mims, Aiken; sister-in-law, Marnivia Brown, Graniteville; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
