Emory G. Lane (MILLEN, Ga.)

MILLEN, Ga. - Emory Grady Lane, Jr., 72, died Sunday, May 31, 2009. He was born in Jenkins County, a Georgia Air National Guard veteran, retired from the U. S. Soil Conservation Service and farming, and member of the Elam Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ernestine Mallard and his parents, Emory G. and Ruby Joiner Lane, Sr. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Elam Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his son, Emory G. (Sonya) Lane, III of Warner Robins; two daughters, Susan L. (Steven) Rheaume of Augusta and Donna M. Lane of Albany; a sister, Martha L. Henry of Millen; three grandchildren, Danielle L. Rheaume, Bradley K.. Lane, and Ashley E. Lane; nephew, Mike (Stacy) Henry of Martinez; and niece, Karen (Eric) Olsen of Winston-Salem, NC. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
