Flora R. Spencer (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Flora R. Spencer of Abbey Road entered into rest on Monday, May 25, 2009 at her residence. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Carter officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. Mrs. Spencer, a native of Augusta, was a child care provider. She was a member of Green Grove Baptist Church where she served as an usher, Sunday school teacher, and member of Shepherd Staff Ministry, Missionary Ministry, and Women In Action. Survivors are two daughters, Patricia (Robert) Ryans, Augusta, Deborah (Willard) Thompkins, Hephzibah; one sister, Alice Morris, Lincoln Park, MI; two brothers, Robert Horton, Augusta, Larry Gilbert, Miami, FL; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and other relatives.
