NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 24, 2009, Robert M. Cowell, CW03 US Army Retired, age 62 of North Augusta, S.C., loving husband of Lynn Lee Cowell for 22 years and son of the late Harry L. Cowell and the late Marion Smith Cowell. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Robert (Robin) Cowell, Jr. of Savannah, GA. and Christopher (Laura) Cowell of Columbus, GA.; daughters, Eddye (Derek) Fiveash of Evans, Ga. and Timi Horne of Augusta, GA.; a brother, Fred M. (Sue) Cowell of Stuartsville, NJ.; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was born in Stroudsburg, PA. but has been a resident of North Augusta for the past 25 years. He was a member of Little Horse Creek Baptist Church in Graniteville; however, he attended the Second Baptist Church in Beech Island, S.C. He was a retired Systems Analyst with the Military. He was the love of his wife Lynn's life, a great father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and all whose lives he touched. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Second Baptist Church, 655 Beech Island Avenue in Beech Island, S.C. with Pastor David Lester officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Langley, S.C. with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 27th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Napier Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210. Mr. Cowell will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
