As far as I know, they can teach in any Sunday school class without restriction, but they have no right to foist their beliefs on children in the public schools.
On May 12, I had the honor and pleasure of attending the 16th annual Golden Apple Awards presented by WJBF-TV (Channel 6). I had good reason to be there because my brother was one of 32 teachers from around the CSRA receiving the Golden Apple Award.
I could not have been more impressed with the dedication and passion these teachers have for their profession. Each teacher had about 30 seconds to accept their award and thank those who supported them in their endeavors to become a teacher and their careers.
In this day and time, when laws prevent teachers and schools from mentioning God or our Lord Jesus Christ, almost all the teachers started their 30-second speeches thanking God for their education, ability and passion to teach our children. It is because of these dedicated teachers, and in spite of laws that are enacted so the few will not be offended, that our children see God every day through these extraordinary teachers.
Parents think about how much more your child could learn about God if they were enrolled in a Sunday school class where teachers can actually teach the Bible with no restrictions.
Thank you, Channel 6, for recognizing these exceptional teachers for what they do every day. I know the futures of the children of the CSRA are in good hands.

The teachers can be sustained and guided by their faith, but please don't have them impose their personal beliefs on students. As they would if they got half a chance, as anyone would see if they had attended the pinning ceremony for the Winter 2008 ASU Nursing class. Fortunately that has now been straightened out.
Back when I was in school, we heard the Lord's Prayer at the start of every morning and no teacher really spoke that much on their faith. The Lord's Prayer is now a thing of the past and just look at the problems we have in schools today. Yep, when you kick the Lord out, you invite the devil in. And it looks like he's there to stay. Thanks liberals. Keep making friends with the devil. You're giving him exactly what he wants. You should feel proud.
