Rubye Mae Gibson (GROVETOWN, Ga.)

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest May 21, 2009 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Rubye Mae Gray Gibson, 88, wife of the late Mr. Cromer Dozier Gibson. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 25, 2009 at 12 noon at Trinity Baptist Church Gymnasium with Dr. K. C. Stevens officiating. Interment at Marvin United Methodist Churchyard Cemetery. Mrs. Gibson will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Family and friends will assemble at the church. Mrs. Gibson was born in Columbia County and retired from the Columbia County School System as a lunchroom employee. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Rubye was preceded in death by a daughter, Ervene Gibson. Survivors include: two sons, Gene Gibson, Ronnie Gibson and wife Barbara, Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Tammy Boswell; sister, Carolyn Lewis; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott Gibson, Gene Knox, Jim Slagle, Jimmy Lewis, Wayne Lewis, Chason Josey, and Michael Hinton.
