Margaret Elaine C. Gilbert (SPARTA, Ga.)

SPARTA, Ga. - Mrs. Elaine C. Gilbert, age 66, beloved wife of Mr. Phillip Gilbert of Powelton Community died Thursday May 21, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. today, Saturday May 23, 2009 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in the Powelton Cemetery. Mrs. Gilbert, a native of Dekalb County, GA was the daughter of the late Elwood and Helen Hammock Crapps . She was a homemaker and member of the Lithonia Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Phillip E. Gilbert, Sparta, GA, three daughters, Vicky ( Al) Pilkington, Covington, GA, Lisa Swayze, Crawfordville, GA, and Donna (Billy) Brooks, Covington, GA, one Sister, Norma Land, Coyers, GA, Tommy Crapps, Covington, GA, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. till the hour of service at the funeral home.
