EDGEFIELD, S.C. - James "Holley" Mayson, 65, of 220 Sloan Drive, died May 20, 2009 at home. Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2009 at Bold Spring Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bold Spring Cemetery, Callison, S.C. Born in Edgefield County, he was a graduate of Strom Thurman High School Class of 1962, a retired car saleman, a member of 1st Baptist Honea Path, and served in the National Guard (Edgefield). Survivors include mother, Myrtle Cogburn Mayson, Greenwood, S.C.; two daughters, Amy M. Laidlaw, Greenwood, S.C., and Heather M. Cambell, Greer, S.C.; sister, Beth Mayson Hyman, Greenwood, S.C.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, J.H. Mayson.
