LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Rev. Edward Emmett 'Ed' Deen, age 80, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in the University Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM, Friday, May 22, 2009, in the Louisville First United Methodist Church. A service will also be held 4:00 PM, Friday, in the Hopewell United Methodist Church in Baxley, GA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Deen family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home and on Friday, 3:00 to 4:00 PM, at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Baxley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to any church that Rev. Deen pastored.
