David L. Thomas (GROVETOWN, Ga.)

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. David L. Thomas, 37, husband of Kelly Darnell Thomas, entered into rest Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009, at 5:00PM at Starling Funeral Home, with the Reverend J.E. Ohmes officiating. Mr. Thomas, a native of Augusta, Ga., was a retired maintenance worker. He enjoyed painting cars, Dirt Track Racing and four-wheeling. His family said he had a passion for learning which included watching Educational Television Programs. Survivors include his wife, Kelly D. Thomas; mother, Cynthia A. Greene, Grovetown; one sister, Jamie K. (David) Smithey, Grovetown; his son Christian Thomas, Appling; two stepchildren, Levi and Danielle Pool; Maternal Grandmother Shirley A. Fleeman, Grovetown; Maternal Grandfather Leo F. Thomas, Sr. and wife Harriett Thomas of Claxton; and many other family members in Georgia and Tennessee including Uncles, Aunts, nephews and cousins.
