HAMPTON, S.C. - Charles Henry Houck, 63 husband of Margaret Lyerly Houck, died Monday, May 18, 2009. Charles Henry was a native of Allendale the son of Ada Smith Houck and the late Henry H. Houck. He was a graduate and band member of Clemson University, employee of the U.S. Postal Service and owner of C. H. Houck Income Tax Service. Charles was a Lay Minister with the United Methodist Church, member and Trustee of Gillette United Methodist, associate member of Hampton United Methodist where he served his church in many capacities. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and a friend to many. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Gillette United Methodist, Baldoc, SC with the Rev. Ronnie Brewer and the Rev. Jack Bailey officiating. Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. Houck of Hampton; his mother, Ada S. Houck of Baldoc; two daughters, Margaret Marie H. Platts of Centerville, TN.; Rebecca H. King (Brian) of North Augusta; two grandsons, Dylan and Jason King; one brother, Jimmy Houck (Norma) of North Augusta; one sister, Carol Ann H. Hicks (Doug) of Sherrills Ford, NC; two nephews, Charlie Hicks and Scott Houck (Laura). The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Hampton United Methodist Church, 204 Elm Street, Hampton, SC.
