Annie Myrtle Addie Watkins (GLOVERVILLE, S.C.)

GLOVERVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Annie Myrtle Addie Watkins, 93, of Gloverville, SC, wife of the late James W. Watkins and daughter of the late Willie W. and Katie Bartley Addie, died Monday, May 18th, 2009. Born in Saluda, SC, she had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of her life. Mrs. Watkins retired from Graniteville Company and was a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church, Gloverville, SC. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. Family members include children, Sarah Elizabeth Hicks, (the late Bo Hicks) Langley, SC, Thomas Edward Gilley, Langley, SC, and Dell Stamper, (Forrest) Lexington, SC; siblings, Joyce Sanders, Gloverville, SC and Mary Ellen Cosnahan, North Augusta, SC; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 21st, 2009, at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Gene Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Hugh Quattlebaum, W.L. Barden, Harry Barton, Jerry Havird, Tony Prosser and Michael Prosser. The family has asked that memorials in memory of Mrs. Watkins be made to Gloverville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 157 Gloverville, SC 29828. Friends may call at the home of Sarah Hicks.
