AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, May 9, 2009, at her residence, Mrs. Lona West of Laney Walker Boulevard. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from First Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 2040 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, with Reverend Andrew Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. She leaves to cherish her memories, a dear and devoted husband, Phinizy West; four sisters, Mary L. McRae of Arlington, TX, Carolyn J. Tyler of Elmont, NY, Sandra A. Vance of Uniondale, NY and Anderia D. Vance of Hempstead, NY; three brothers, Robert J.(Carol) Vance, Jr. of White Sulphur Springs, NY, Alexander (Elma) Vance and William E. Vance both of Hempstead, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Friends may call the residence or W. H.
