AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, May 17, 2009 at his residence, Mr. Julian C. Adams, Sr., 84, husband of the late Sarah "Becky" Adams. Mr. Adams was a native of Hart Co., GA and had lived in Augusta since 1947. He was a US Army Veteran and retired sales manager for Murray Biscuit Company covering 38 states and Puerto Rico. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, former member of Goshen Plantation County Club and a longtime fan of the Atlanta Braves. After retiring from Murray Biscuit Co. he was a part-time paper products merchandiser for Proctor & Gamble Co. Mr. Adams was a longtime supporter of Paul Anderson Youth Home and Billy Graham Crusades. Above all, he was a wonderful father and husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family members include his sons: Tim Adams and wife Dale of Tybee Island, Mel Adams and wife Pam of Greenville, SC, Julian (Jule) Adams and wife Lynda of Harlem, Jeff Adams and wife Patty of Augusta, Scott Adams of Augusta; daughter: Dena Long and husband John of Grovetown; grandchildren: Jeffrey, Christopher, Steven, Mark, Ryan, Brandon, Carter, Emily and great- grandchildren: Tristan and Skylar. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Olin Sizemore officiating. Grandchildren will be pallbearers. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Trinity Hospice/St. Joseph Foundation, Inc., PO Box 31358, Augusta, GA 30903 or to a charity of one's choice.
