ANGELS: Starter John Lackey will return to the mound tonight against Seattle after an early exit from his season debut, when he was ejected after throwing two pitches at Rangers leadoff man Ian Kinsler .
Lackey's first pitch Saturday sailed behind Kinsler's head. The next hit Kinsler in the ribs, and plate umpire Bob Davidson immediately ejected the right-hander. Lackey was activated from the disabled list to make the start after missing six weeks of the season with a forearm strain.
RAYS: Designated hitter Pat Burrell was placed on the 15-day DL with a neck strain. The move is retroactive to May 11, and Rays manager Joe Maddon said he doesn't expect it to be an "extended DL" stay. Burrell hasn't ruled out returning next week.
Tampa Bay also reinstated reliever Jason Isringhausen from the 15-day DL.
INDIANS: The contracts of pitchers David Huff and Greg Aquino were purchased from Triple-A Columbus.
Huff made his major league debut as Sunday's starter against Tampa Bay and took the loss. Aquino will work out of the bullpen.
To free up roster room, Cleveland optioned reliever Tony Sipp and right-hander Masa Kobayashi to Columbus.
WHITE SOX: Outfielder Carlos Quentin left the team after Sunday's game against Toronto and returned to Chicago for treatment on his left foot.
