GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Mr. Layton 'Fred' E. Taylor of East Ave., Graniteville, entered into rest Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Emory University. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Jake Griffis officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Taylor was a native of Lexington County, SC and was co-owner of Air South. Survivors include three sons: Edwin Taylor & Christopher Taylor, both of Gaston, SC & Donnie Taylor of Cayce, SC; three step-sons: Dan Bales, Jr. (Michelle), North Augusta, SC, Larry Bales, Lawrenceville, GA & Stevie Bales (Jackie) North Augusta, SC; two step-daughters: Ellen Martin (Vic), Trenton, SC & Nancy Elliott (Wade), North Augusta, SC; one brother, Del "Pot" Taylor (Cora), Augusta, GA; four sisters: Nevelyn Gleen, Gaston, SC, Evelyn Laird (Rev. David), Aiken, SC, Myrtle Rikard (Harold), Gaston, SC, and Birtie Sharpe, Gaston, SC and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mr. Taylor's grandsons.
