GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - Funeral Services for Mrs. Laverne Keyton McKie, 82 of Garden Grove, California, who entered into rest May 7, 2009, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Elder Max Hicks officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Mrs. McKie was a native of Wrightsville, Georgia, a former resident of North Augusta, Riverside, California and Orlando, Florida, having made Garden Grove her home for the past five years. She was a Primitive Baptist, beloved wife of the late Mr. Ted McKie, Sr., and daughter of the late Will and Lou Keyton. Survivors include her two sons, Ted McKie, Jr., Garden Grove, CA and Monte McKie, Orlando, FL; two grandsons, Mitchell McKie and Matt Peterson; a sister, Ruth Boone, North Augusta. Pallbearers will be John B. Boone, Jr., Ben Boone, III, George Walden, Rick Fittery and Aaron Fittery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from noon until the hour of service or at the residence of Mrs. Geraldine Peavy, 102 Briarcliff Street, Belvedere, SC.
