BEST CONCERT ATTENDED: A Day in the Country, Augusta Riverfront Marina, 2008. "It was a lot of camaraderie between all the groups, you know. It was just a great concert. Everything went right that day."
TV FAVORITE: "I'm not home to watch TV much; but when I do, I'll usually watch the Speed network."
WORST SHOW: Warrenton Trail Ride, Warrenton, Ga., about 2004. "It was an outside concert at a trail ride. I mean, it was awful. ... Actually, it rained so hard the ground got so soft we were playing on the ground, and my seat absolutely came out from under me. I ended up falling backwards."
FIRST INSTRUMENT: Lap steel guitar about age 16.
FAVORITE RESTAURANT: Villa Europa. "The atmosphere there is just out of this world. It reminds me of the old Town Tavern from years ago. It's a very good place to go."
FAVORITE ALBUM: The Best of the Best of Merle Haggard
BEST PART ABOUT TOURING: "It's not the same old people every time. I've been doing it for years. I enjoy it. I've turned down a lot of house jobs. I'm not interested in doing a house job."
