Augusta artist-musician Lillie Morris has a special place in her heart for Ireland, and it seems that Ireland is as fond of her. Since her first visit in 2000, she has returned every year, often to Listowel, a town in County Kerry that has become something of a home base for her.

She has been invited to participate in an art exhibition taking place in conjunction with Listowel's annual Writer's Week festival May 27-31. She has created four collage pieces for the show: Three are based on plays by Irish author John B. Keane, and the fourth acknowledges the town's literary festival (www.writersweek.ie).

AROUND TOWN

Holly Koons McCullough , the curator of fine arts and exhibitions at the Jepson Center for the Arts in Savannah, Ga., will present the Art at Lunch talk at noon Friday at the Morris Museum of Art.

Photographs by David Leigh are on exhibit through June 30 at the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History.

Christine Miller-Betts, the director of the museum, discovered Mr. Leigh's photographs on the walls of the office where he is a financial adviser and invited him to stage his first exhibition, a series of images of the historic Laney-Walker district in Augusta. See www.lucycraftlaneymuseum.org.
