NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Nora D. Norris went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held 2 o'clock Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Elliott Sons Telfair Street Chapel with Dr. Ronald Hasty officiating. Deacons of Woodridge Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Norris was born and raised in Aiken County and worked for many years at The Graniteville Company/Avondale Mills. She was a faithful member of Woodridge Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and cherished each moment shared with her family - especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Norris is survived by her children Karen (Ronald) Rowland of North Augusta, Toni (Rick) Strelec of Clark Hill and Douglas (Melissa) Norris of North Augusta; her brother, Wallace (Evelyn) Sharp and sister Geraldine Shaffer; her 5 precious grandchildren, Ronnie Rowland, Sheri Norris, Ethan Norris, Amber Norris and Trish Strelec. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the the Woodridge Baptist Church Family Life Center. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 9 PM at the funeral home.
