Jesse J. Turner (EDGEFIELD, S.C.)

EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. Jesse J. Turner, 91, of Edgefield, husband of the late Mary McGee Turner, died Friday, May 8, 2009 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 11 A.M. at Edgefield First Baptist Church with burial in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with Military Honors. Mr. Turner was born in Trenton, S.C. and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. He was Retired Service Manager for Pendarvis Chevy-Olds. Mr. Turner was a Veteran of WW II and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Hezzie Griffis Post #30. Survivors include his daughter, Ann (George) Long, Woodland Park, Colo.; three grandchildren, David, Peter, and Caroline. Memorials may be made to Edgefield First Baptist Church, P.O.
