William Kirchheim, a member of the Augusta chapter of the American Business Clubs, started the service project.
Tommy Boyles, an AMBUCS member since 1971, has been chairman of the bowling project since 1989. He said volunteers help run it every week.
There are 51 registered participants.
It costs AMBUCS about $8,0000 to $10,000 a year to run the program. Members hold a fundraiser every January to raise the money to keep it going.
