MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest Thursday, May 7, 2009, Mrs. Dorothy H. 'Dot' Martin, 89, wife of the late Earnest M. Martin. Mrs. Martin was a native of Atlanta, GA and was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a homemaker and a member of New Heights Baptist Church and was active in the Lay Renewal in the Southern Baptist Convention. Family members include her sister: Martha H. Hardy; niece: Martha H. Odom (Earnest); nephews: Albert P. Hardy (Jackie), Joseph K. Hardy (Camille) and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Lloyd Green officiating. Pallbearers will be Al Hardy, Earnest Odom, Ashley Odom, Knox Hardy, Earl Welch, and John Hardy. Entombment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
