With the passing of President Obama's 100-days honeymoon, where are we?
He has swallowed -- hook, line and sinker -- Al Gore's global warming theme, which has made him very wealthy, even with snow more than 6 feet deep in places. While many scientists disagree with him, the "carbon footprint" genie is out of the bottle to stay. Instead of using the abundance of oil we have under our own soil, we first shut down most of our wells and began buying from our enemies. So we now put in our gas tanks what was once called "corn liquor," which is more expensive.
But that wasn't enough. Our factories skipped to where the oil and labor were cheaper and plentiful. Another contributor was labor unions demanding higher and higher wages for workers, driving consumers to pick up the tab.
But is that all? Nope. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just suggested taxing retired workers' benefits to give money to illegal aliens and others who have not worked to earn it.
Obama already had told "Joe the Plumber" that he was all for redistribution of wealth. So now some workers must pay part of the monthly house payments for others who could not afford their houses to begin with.
More recently, we find that a beauty contestant was considered unworthy of winning because she believed that marriage should be only between a man and a woman. So do I and millions of others.
But that was still not enough. Obama is caving in on letting our enemies know about how we get information to protect American soldiers and citizens at home.
Last, but not least, the environmentalists are now worried about how much "gas pollution" comes out of both ends of cows!
Can you imagine such things happening in America? Karl Marx and Nikita Khrushchev should be smiling in their graves, as America is being taken without firing a shot.

Communism has been absent in our White House since January 20. And millions of others is wrong when tens of millions of others support equal marriage rights for gays just like I do. And BTW, Obama is NOT letting our enemies know a damn thing -- our enemies can't even speak English for God's sake. By releasing this info to the public, he is ACTUALLY protecting our soldiers from great harm by the terrorists -- remember eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth?

Our enimies have been torturing our citizens since before we went to war. Do you not remember people having to make a choice to burn up in a fire or jump to their deaths? I think there was a lot more psychological damage done to those citizens, it just didn't last as long. And what about the beheadings? Did you hear the one's taped screaming because they were being hacked to death? Seems to make waterboarding a prank. So no one is PROTECTING our soldiers by not employing tactics that produce results or not revealing them and it definately saves lots of citizens from facing jump or burn. And BTW, communism started as soon as the government was able to fire employees (be they CEO's or a janitor) from PRIVATE companies and when they started controlling whether banks would be ALLOWED to pay back their bailouts. And again BTW, the majority in this country are against same sex marriages.
communism is the general term for socioeconomic philosophies that are basically anti-individualist and anti-capitalist in nature. There are differentiating features that separate Marxism, socialism, and Fascism, but they're just nuances. Our country has been sliding toward socialism since the mid '40's and Carter gave it a solid push with his education and energy laws, but nobody has been the outright Marxist that Obama has during his first 100 days. As you may have noticed from the posts on this site, there are many "citizens" anxious to put on the brown shirt and share the philosophy. These are dangerous times for America.

The Army spends billions of dollars a year on cryptographic communication systems and Fort Gordon's very purpose is training soldiers how to use such equipment and NOW willistontownsc tells us that it is unnecessary! Where were you when the Cold War started? Why have you not revealed this information until now? Why would anyone lend support to a man who is doing everything he can to destroy capitalism, and represents a system of government that many Americans gave their life to keep from being imposed on us? I will support the President as soon as he abandons Marxism.
I support policy I can believe in. Obama's policies do not have much I can believe in. If his policies begin to fall in line with my beliefs I will support him on those just like I have done with EVERY other President.

Obama is a politician and he is still campaigning, Note the continuous press and advertisements pushing his agenda. He is an excellent politician but seems inept and incapable of being a leader and president. Obama has been like smoke in many ways going whereever the winds of public support will blow him, but now to inact policy he is way over his head. Closing gitmo without any plans so now his own party is bucking him. Stomping on the constitution and mocking the rule of law more than Bush could ever imagine. Blaming Bush for the economy and war, but then follow a similar economic cure and still we are fighting the same wars. The President nor Congress are smart enough, honest enough, or capable enough to tackle health care reform. Why doesn't Obama follow his own economic philosophy as a bottom up trickle up idea with health care so it would deal with it from locality, state, then federal (bottom up). He has no consistency in his thoughts.

confederate american, I believe in States Rights like our founding fathers intended in the Constitution. People should decide how they want to live. If we have the Federal Government deciding what happens at a local level - no good can come from it. The Federal Government has become too involved in our day to day lives. I also do not like the social tone the government is taking. Individuals should take care of individuals - NOT the government.
