We all must remember to pray today

May 7 is the National Day of Prayer.

President Obama will sign a proclamation declaring the day as such, but will not take part in any prayer breakfasts or organized prayer on behalf of the nation. His press secretary says he will be praying privately, "as he does every day."

Let's take him at his word. Please pray for our president and our nation on this day.

Religious proclamations by the Executive recommending thanksgivings & fasts are shoots from the same root with the legislative acts reviewed.

Altho' recommendations only, they imply a religious agency, making no part of the trust delegated to political rulers.....
,,,They seem to imply and certainly nourish the erroneous idea of a national religion. The idea just as it related to the Jewish nation under a theocracy, having been improperly adopted by so many nations which have embraced Xnity, is too apt to lurk in the bosoms even of Americans, who in general are aware of the distinction between religious & political societies. -- James Madison

I have to wonder who or what is he praying to in his private prayer time. What does he pray for? We know how he condemns the USA publicly, demands Christian symbols covered, and denies we are a Christian nation. The warnings are everywhere. Of course, this was evident before the election.

Pray for what? Does anyone REALLY believe anything results from prayer?
