Don't believe the rampant fearmongers

  • Follow Letters

The fearmongers are out in force and are using all types of propaganda to proclaim the Obama administration as incompetent, weak, un-American, Marxist and socialist. They also are frightening some Americans by telling them Obama will confiscate their guns; thus, we are having a run on guns and ammunition.

Some Republicans have endorsed the fearmongers, and are using the same tactics. Sooner or later, the hate groups will come out of the caves.

The tea parties, a strategy of the fearmongers, were formed to frighten us about the national debt, higher taxes and the theft of our country. It is very strange that many of those who protested were in the income level whose taxes were lowered. The tea parties were promoted by Dick Armey, a former Republican House majority leader, and conservative talk-show pundits. Armey is now a big-money lobbyist.

Also, former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is making tons of money lobbying for the health care industry and pharmaceutical companies. Come June when the Obama administration will take up the health care issue, Gingrich will be spreading fear about all Americans having access to health care.

We don't need fear. We need action.

Fearmongering has become a big industry, and some people are becoming wealthy spreading terror. Will Obama's recovery plan stimulate the economy? At least I hope. It is a plan in place, and we all need to support it for the welfare of our nation and each one of us.

The Republicans failed to present a plan and all they did was to say no to the opposing party's plan. Yes, the Republicans will lose out if they continue down the fearmongering path. They need to rid themselves of some fanatics, radical agendas and sectionalism, and return to their roots.

Some true Republicans have stated recently that the Cotton South will ultimately kill the Republican Party.

"The fear mongers are out in

"The fear mongers are out in force" Tracy, what else is new? These are the same famines that told us there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, that Al Quida was welcomed by Sadam and firmly established in Iraq, that Osama was in Afghanistan and if we didn't get him we would surely suffer another 9/11; if (oh well, what's the use, fear mongering has been the "holy grail" the right for many years). These are the same famines

These are the same famines that told us there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? You mean like Bill and Hilliary Clinton? You mean like Nancy Pelosi? Pull your head out of the sand. And by the way.....we found several WMD's in Iraq....but I'm sure the truth doesn't really matter.

Watching Obama is beyond

Watching Obama is beyond incompetence! Watching Obama is like watching Peter Sellers as Chauncy Gardener in Being There. Obama Mis Quotes a hack writer, Sullivan in the Atlantic, who distorts history! No fact checks of his speach etc, and Obama is hailed by some as brilliant and so nuanced etc.! I have reason to be freaful as Obama over turnes the rule of law, incompetently runs companies and investors into the ground and tries to take over all facets of American life!

The truth is often fearful.

The truth is often fearful. We should all be afraid of GGPaps spelling. (what is Al Quida)? We did find WMD in Iraq if you care to look it up. We have much to fear in Obama. How come everything you write GGpap is always about someone else and never any facts?

Obama has used fear for the

Obama has used fear for the last 100 something days. The left doesn't see it because every time he does something controversial he follows it up with a diversonary tactic like the "torture" memos and all the kool-aid drinkers say "Ohhhh look at the nice shiny bobble." Watch for it, it happens each and every time.

As I recall, the only WMDs

As I recall, the only WMDs found in Iraq had already been reported and secured by the weapons inspectors. The right wing tried to make a big deal of it until it was (finally) admitted to by the government. I have to ask, Abdullah, why is it not ok to mention the failings of the past administration, which are the primary causes for actions taken today? Why do you contradict the past edicts of the Republicant god, Karl (MARX) Rove who stated absolutely "Deficits don't matter!"? Why is it ok to say, as you do, "Do what we say, not as we do."? Republicants whine daily about the burgeoning deficits, when the previous regime increased them, unopposed by it's party, and the candidate supported by them wished to continue the policies that would have and did nearly destroy our nation. Unfortunately, it's becoming more obvious that the stimulus bill will, again, benefit primarily the wealthy corporations, who, encouraged by the policies of the last 8 years and the refusal by Congress(both parties) to enact lobbyist and ethics reforms, have no real impetus to change.

THIS WAS OBAMA"S NON STIMULUS PLAN!!! If he created it because of "influence" THEN HE SHOULD BE REMOVED FOR BEING A MORON!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? And as for Lobbyist, Obama LIED to you when he said he was not going to have Lobbyist in HIS admin. He has loaded up with them. Get you facts straight before you post something.

When former weapons inspector

When former weapons inspector Kay reported to Congress in January that the United States had found "no stockpiles" of forbidden weapons in Iraq, his conclusions made front-page news. But when he detailed what the ISG had found in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence last October, few took notice. Among Kay's revelations, which officials tell Insight have been amplified in subsequent inspections in recent weeks: A prison laboratory complex that may have been used for human testing of BW agents and "that Iraqi officials working to prepare the U.N. inspections were explicitly ordered not to declare to the U.N." Why was Saddam interested in testing biological-warfare agents on humans if he didn't have a biological-weapons program? "Reference strains" of a wide variety of biological-weapons agents were found beneath the sink in the home of a prominent Iraqi BW scientist. "We thought it was a big deal," a senior administration official said. "But it has been written off [by the press] as a sort of 'starter set.'"

New research on BW-applicable

New research on BW-applicable agents, brucella and Congo-Crimean hemorrhagic fever, and continuing work on ricin and aflatoxin that were not declared to the United Nations.
A line of unmanned aerial vehicles, UAVs, or drones, "not fully declared at an undeclared production facility and an admission that they had tested one of their declared UAVs out to a range of 500 kilometers [311 miles], 350 kilometers [217 miles] beyond the permissible limit." "Continuing covert capability to manufacture fuel propellant useful only for prohibited Scud-variant missiles, a capability that was maintained at least until the end of 2001 and that cooperating Iraqi scientists have said they were told to conceal from the U.N." "Plans and advanced design work for new long-range missiles with ranges up to at least 1,000 kilometers [621 miles] -- well beyond the 150-kilometer-range limit [93 miles] imposed by the U.N. Missiles of a 1,000-kilometer range would have allowed Iraq to threaten targets throughout the Middle East, including Ankara [Turkey], Cairo [Egypt] and Abu Dhabi [United Arab Emirates]."http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=38213

If you're not terrified of

If you're not terrified of the actions to this president, then you are totally ignorant of history. His actions are not new, they are part of a continuing trend of failed socialist societies that enslave the entire population of a country as it is starved to its knees. So far, this philosophy has failed 100% of the time, but the promise of a utopia where the federal government will provide all creature comforts and needs at taxpayer expense tricks the population every time. They don't realize that once the taxpayer has been chased from the country, all expenses will fall on the backs of the slaves. Silly people, tricks are for Dems.

It's easy to believe that a

It's easy to believe that a $400 tax credit ($7.5 a week) is a tax break, but the reality is when WE the TAX PAYERS eventually start paying for the uncontrollable spending, this pity little tax break isn't going to mean CRAP. Those of you, and you know who you are, who believe everything that comes out of the Whitehouse, as just as naive as you are ignorant.

When the people in power

When the people in power today keep referring to those people who cling to their religion and guns. Which are my rights according to the 1st and 2nd amendments of the US Constitution. The progressives feel that it is religion and guns that are our nations and world's problem, and if they can take religion and guns away there would be peace. So when i speak out for the right for people to have the freedom of religion and the right to bare arms I am considered by the Homeland Security as a right wing extremist. Its not fear mongering speaking out against the philosophies of the three evils Oboma, Reed, and Pelosi. Study the words that comes out of their mouths, and PAC's that support them. Then read the history of the nations that fell into communism and fascism. The firsts things to go are religion and guns. The truth is the truth.

Gee Trace, from the sound of your letter, the demise of the Republicans is exactly what you want. Why are you telling them how to save themselves? As far as action, if you call doubling our national debt for future generations to pay action, yes, President O and this idiotic congress has done just that. Sorry that didn't sound very "enchanting."

I will post this every day

I will post this every day until people understand that the increases of taxes on the wealthy is trickle down taxes. Taxes are an expense, and expenses are past down to the consumer. So it is the other 95% who has to pay the taxes for the wealthy. Moving money around is just a numbers game to fool the ignorant and is nothing but propaganda against the so called Evil rich people. Go to a poor person and ask them for a job. People who are wealthy are wealthy because they understand how to provide a product or service that is profitable. revenues - expenses = profit.
