Virgie Rosier Clark (HILDA, S.C.)

HILDA, S.C. - Mrs. Virgie Rosier Keenan Clark, 89, died May 3, 2009 in the Bamberg County Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Ashleigh Baptist Church with Rev. Bert Petty, Rev. Alfred Still, and Rev. Bob Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Clark was born June 2, 1919 in Dunbarton, S.C., a daughter of the late Gaston and Virgie W. Rosier. She was a homemaker and was predeceased by her husbands, Lewis L. Keenan and Henry B. Clark. She was a member of Ashleigh Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Shirley (Bo) Darnell of Hilda, S.C.; a son, Charles (Happi) Keenan of Cordele, Ga.; sisters, Julia Simmons of Barnwell, S.C., Lucile Greene of Hillsboro, Ala., and Willie Mae McKnight of Uniontown, Pa.; five grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
