Mae Simmons Braswell (GLOVERVILLE, S.C.)

GLOVERVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Mae Simmons Braswell, 92, of Gloverville, SC, wife of the late Charles E. Braswell, died Monday, May 4th, 2009. Born in Millen, GA, she was a daughter of the late Enos and Catherine Smith Simmons. Mrs. Braswell retired from Seminole Mill after thirty- seven years of service. She was a member of Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene she was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. She is survived by her nieces and nephews who were more like her children, Cathy Thomas, Sanford, FL, Johnny Simmons, Sycamore, SC, Patsy Timm, Mt. Vernon, IL, and Jerry Simmons, Gloverville, SC; a devoted friend and caregiver, Faye Sullivan and several additional nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 7th, 2009, at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Wayne Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Scotty Simmons, Ronnie Simmons, David Simmons, Dwight Smith, Dennis Steedley, and Jesse Canaday. If so desired, the family has asked that memorials be made to Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 645 Clearwater, SC 29822. Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Braswell.
