LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Ethel Mae Newman Snider, age 80, died Friday morning, May 1, 2009, in the Jefferson Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Sunday, May 3, 2009, in the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Montgomery and Rev. Walter Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie Kimbrell, Matthew Snider, Daniel Snider, Billy Ray Cook, Josh Guy, and Bill Snider. A native of Blythe, Mrs. Snider was a daughter of the late Frank & Lizzie Blackston Newman, and retired from Thermo King. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, James E. Snider, and is survived by: sons, Jimmy W. Snider and his wife, Sheryl of Savannah, F. Algie Snider and his wife, Janice of Avera; daughters, Frances Kimbrell and her husband, Robert of Shelbyville, TN, Ann McGraw of Louisville; brother, Benjamin L. (Red) Newman of Wadley; grandchildren: Stephanie Cook of Shelbyville, TN, Robbie Kimbrell of Shelbyville, TN, Brook M. Guy of Louisville, Matthew Snider of North Augusta, SC, Daniel Snider of Avera; great- grandchildren: Chelsea Kimbrell of Shelbyville, TN, Grayson Cook, of Shelbyville, TN, Joshua Guy of Louisville; several nieces & nephews. The Snider family will be at the residence of her son, F. Algie Snider, 1494 Hadden Pond Road in Avera. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the funeral home.
