We are fortunate to have excellent photographers at the Chronicle. Each has a unique style worth watching and they consistently give us great images of our community.
Augusta Chronicle photographer Rainier Ehrhardt's emotional image of a business owner after a store fire was named Photo of the Year in the annual Georgia Associated Press newswriting and photography awards, announced Friday.
The same photograph also won first place in the Spot News category and was one of several honors for The Chronicle , which won the most awards among Georgia's largest newspapers.
