AUGUSTA, Ga. - Miss Sylvia 'Sibbie' Barton, 68, entered into rest Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at University Hospital. Sibbie was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was special and loved everyone she met. Sylvia was a gift from God to her brothers and sisters. Family members include her brother: Randy Pratt (Cathy) of Augusta, sisters: Linda B. Shackelford (Jim), Bonnie B. Shelton (David), Susan P. Smith (Jeff), Kathleen P. Welch, Angela P. Hodges (Danny) and numerous nieces and nephews. Sibbie was predeceased by her parents: Nellie Carey Pratt, Luther William Barton and Lloyd W. Pratt Graveside service will be held today, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. David Shelton officiating. Pallbearers will be Phillip Bertsch, Allen Smith, Joseph Michau, Danny Hodges, Jeff Smith and Jim Shackelford.
