DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Charles Eugene 'Gene' Rickerson, Sr., 68, husband of Glendon Wilson Rickerson, entered into rest Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the McDuffie Re- gional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Dearing Full Gospel Church with the Reverend Eddie L. Renew and Jerry D. Rockefeller officiating. Interment will be in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Rickerson, a native of Columbia County, and had worked for the City of Augusta and the Richmond County Fire Department. He was a retired Construction Contractor. He was a loving husband, dad and Papa. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Glendon Rickerson; his mother, Maude K. Wright, Grovetown; two sons, Brian (Christina) Rickerson, Dearing and Charles (Anita) Rickerson, Jr., Grovetown; one daughter, Sharon (Randy) Boysen, Martinez; one brother, Johnnie Rickerson, Grovetown; one sister Katie Leroy, Lincolnton; and seven grandchildren, Eric Boysen, Taryn Rickerson, Ashley Boysen, Alicia Rickerson, Jimmy Rickerson, Stevie Rickerson and Amber Chavarria. Pallbearers will be Steve Blackwell, Glenn Hayes, Donnie Wilson, Randy Hayes, Chad Wilson and Nathan Hayes, Jr. Visitation will be Friday evening, April 24, 2009, from 7 to 9 PM at Starling Funeral Home, Hwy. 78, Harlem, Ga.
