Arlene Walea Hatcher (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Arlene Walea Hatcher, 86, wife of the late George Hatcher, entered into rest Monday, April 20, 2009 at National Healthcare. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Brown officiating. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Hatcher was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church and a Bridge Club member. She was also and avid gardener and ballroom dancer. Family members include two daughters and their husbands: Gayle & Bob Lollis and Anne & Jimmy Rogers, all of North Augusta; five grandchildren: Kelly L. (Tom) Wiedmeier, Kim (Stephen) Francisco, Kristi (Jason) Lollis, Brandon Hatcher Morris, and Matthew R. Morris; and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hatcher was preceded in death by a son, George O. Hatcher, III. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 3 pm. until service time.
