Marion Delaughter (EDGEFIELD, S.C.)

EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. Marion Delaughter, 84, of Augusta Rd., husband of Elise (Ecie) Friar Delaughter, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11 A.M. at Edgefield First Baptist Church with burial in Eastview Cemetery. Mr. Delaughter was born in Aiken County and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. He was the Owner and Operator of Delaughter's Garage for 45 years. He was a Marine veteran of WW II. He was a member of the Hezzie Griffis Post # 30 and he was a Mason. Survivors include his wife; 2 Sons, John (Ann) Delaughter, Johnston, Jerry G. (Mary) Delaughter, North Augusta; 1 Sister, Jewelle D. (Buddy) Fiske, Augusta, Ga.; 4 Grandchildren, Matt, Scott, Andrea, and Amy; 6 Great-Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Edgefield First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 624 Edgefield, S.C. 29824.
