EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Ms. Lizzie Lou Oliphant, 78, of Gary Street, entered into rest April 17, 2009 at Edgefield County Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Wanda Austin officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Oliphant, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Trinity Community Church. Survivors include five daughters, Mildred (George) Brown, Shirley (Davis) Mealing, Judith (Joseph) Hogg, Sharon (Curtis) Bibbs, and Gloria (Kevin) Buggs; a son, Stanley (Linda) Oliphant; two sisters, Hattie Perry and Dorothy Jarvis; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bessie Oliphant, Rosa Lee Oliphant, and Alma Oliphant; a host of other relatives and friends.
