PLUM BRANCH, S.C. - Mr. James Jennings died at Hospice Care Of The Piedmont, Greenwood, S.C., April 19, 2009. He was born in McCormick County March 20, 1921 to the late Fate and Lula Wells Jennings. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Parksville, S.C. Survivors are his devoted wife of over sixty years, Beatrice Jennings of the home; two daughters, Lizzie Tucker and Suffie Jennings, both of Plum Branch, S.C.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry (Viola) Jennings, Plum Branch; two other sisters- in-law, Nancy Jennings and Annie Wiggleton; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Friday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with the Pastor Rev. W. F. Hampton officiating. Assisting are Revs. J.C. Williams, James Price, Melvin Gordon, and Minister Carried Adams. The family is at his home, 197 Dordon Creek Rd. in Plum Branch. Services by Walker Funeral Home.
