EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. Willie J. Chandler, 91, of Old Chapell Ferry Road, entered into rest April 17, 2009. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Jeter Baptist Church with the Rev. James E. Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Chandler, a native of Edgefield County, was a member and deacon of Jeter Baptist Church. He was a WWII veteran and a member of Truth Seeker Lodge 391. Survivors include a daughter, Louise Henderson; three sisters, Josephine Lee, Ora L. Elam, and Mary L. Williams; a brother, Elliott Chandler; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
