Haha justus, this IS what your tax dollars are going to be spent on. I think its pretty stupid too, but just to know that it will make you angry makes it a good idea.
This memorial service was done by a private organization and no public funds were used to honor these soldiers who died in Confederate hospitals here in Augusta.
Those who say honoring their ancestors is of hate need to look in the mirror at themselves.
Justus4 I usually dont respond to dummies but i will this one time this event is Put on by the local Son's of Confederate Veteran's Camp # 158 which I proudly belong to and also happen to be an officer of the camp NO public monies are spent on this event we pay for everthing ourselfs thru our Account. I would rather have my children learn the true history of the war then the pc version and NO we don't celebrate king b'day or the war criminial lincoln b'day Long Live Davis The South and The Confederacy
hahahahahaha ohh man, this is what makes living in the south so interesting... racist rednecks and bitter black people who feel that every white person is out to get them...
The true history of the war? That's a good one. As taught by Confederate apologists. "and NO we don't celebrate king b'day". Thanks for adding that little tidbit, it says it all. Those pesky black folks. BTW: Jeff Davis dresses like a girl.
There is a wonderful quote " I would rather be politically incorrect then historically inaccurate". And no I am not a "confederate aplogists" as there is nothing to apoligize to anyone for. This is a wonderful opportunity to TEACH morons about these brave honorable men who had the guts to fight for what they believed in. And any idiot that thinks they died to preserve slavery is just that an idiot. The mass majority did not even own one slave. A great many black men fought to preserve the states rights of the confederacy and many of their own race do not even have enough honor to remember them. That is a sad fact.
Maybe anyone who's black might feel a little uncomfortable around these racist redneck yahoos.
