Local Masters flavor thrives

As a native Augustan, I am overcome with pride every year as the community comes together to play host to the world's greatest sporting event: the Masters Tournament.

The efforts of many are required to provide all of the amenities that the patrons enjoy during the Masters. I made a fascinating discovery during a visit to a restaurant on North Leg Road. I discovered that the famous Masters sandwiches are made fresh daily, and are supplied locally.

I witnessed firsthand the love that goes into each and every one of these sandwiches, and had the pleasure of meeting some of the gracious sandwich assemblers. The assemblers have developed quite an efficient process for delivering the product to market.

Thanks to the local citizens who work tirelessly to make the sandwiches possible, and thank you to the Augusta National Golf Club for contributing to our community, and ensuring the Masters food is fresh, delicious and local!
