Isaac Christie (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Isaac Christie of Prince Road entered into rest on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at his residence. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Smith Chapel AME Zion Church, Burke County with Rev. Minnie Davis and Rev. Dr. Alema-Mensah officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mr. Christie, a native of Augusta, was a master carpenter and was a member of Christ Solid Rock Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Merdine Christie; four daughters, Erine (Throne) Rogers, Ericia Meyers, Hephzibah, GA, Sheena Hilton, Shavonne Christie, Augusta; three sons, Ronnus L. Johnson, Isaac Christie, Isaiah Christie, Augusta; four sisters, Louise Brice, Boston, MA, Lillie (Robert) Collins, Augusta, Michelle, Beech Island, SC; four brothers, Eulie (Dorothy) Fair, Dorchester, MA, Willie Fair, Scarborough, ME, Rallie Christie, Arthur Christie, Augusta; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.
