AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at University Hospital, Mr. John A. Bihlmaier, 75, husband of Loraine Bihlmaier. Mr. Bihlmaier was a native of Chicago, but had resided in Augusta for the last 18 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bihlmaier was an Engineer, Gemologist and Inventor. He was a member of the Augusta Gem and Mineral Society, member of Living History Park of North Augusta, SC and the American Legion Post #400. Family members in addition to his wife include his daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Bob Hughes of Vacaville, CA; Dottie and Mike Brocato of Grovetown, GA; sons and daughters-in-law: Michael J. and Tamera Bihlmaier of Marengo, IL, Ted A. and Dawn Bihlmaier of Harvard, IL; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
