SYLVANIA, Ga. - 'There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.' Eccl. 3:1. A time to be born: Wade was born on October 28, 1947 in Screven County, Georgia to the parentage of the late George Wesley Lowery, Sr. and Isabell Brack Lowery. A time to live: At an early age, Wade became a member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church . He sang in the choir and in other capacities wherever his services were needed. He was well loved by his church family, and he frequented other churches in the community such as A.T., O.M., True Love, Rock of Gibraltor, St. John Sound of Praise, Bethel A.M.E., St. Andrews U. M. Church, Refuge, House of Prayer, St. John Oliver, to name a few. He was preceded in death by a sibling Dea. Zella B. Taylor and a beloved brother-in-law, Dea. Charlie E. Evans. A time to work: Wade loved to travel the streets of Sylvania and areas collecting cans and gathering the latest news. His favorite past-time was sharing his opinion of the latest happenings of the law enforcement police log with the people who frequented Gary's Minute Mart. A time to mourn: Left to cherish his memory is his devoted and loving family: four brothers, Dea. George W. Lowery, Jr., Robert (Viola) Lowery, Savannah, Ga., Thomas Lowery, Rev. Jerald (Minnie) Burgess, Hinesville, Ga.; four sisters, Evangelist Gloria (Bishop David) Arnett, Isabell (Dea. Robert) Martin-Williams, Dea. Robbin B. Frazier, Rev. Dr. Diane B. Evans, Avera, Ga.; one aunt, Grace Brack, Savannah, Ga.; one uncle, Joseph (Willie Bell) Brack, Sr.; one adopted brother, Paul (Teresa) Brack; half- brother, Al White; half-sisters, Mattie Reed, Shirley Free, and Necole Lowery; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close relatives and friends. Funeral: 11 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 227 Railroad Street, Sylvania, Ga., Rev. Dr. Diane B. Evans, Pastor Elder Bruce Taylor officiating, Rev. Thomas Norman, III presiding. Body reposing 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church until hour of service. Interment: Friendship Memorial Cemetery, Sylvania, Ga.
