GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 13, 2009, Mr. Fred N. 'Dick' Yaun, Sr., age 91, of Graniteville, S.C., husband of the late Macey Whatley Yaun and son of the late Andrew E. Yaun and the late Effie Timmerman Yaun. He is survived by daughters, Jo Anne Moseley of Augusta, Ga., Linda (Bill) Heaton of Augusta, Ga. and Kay Rogers of North Augusta, S.C.; four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Fred N. 'Dickie' Yaun, Jr. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, a member of Masonic Star Lodge #99, a member of IBEW Local Union #1579. He was also a Shriner. He retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas as an electrician with 25 years of dedicated service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during World War II. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all whose lives he touched. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, April 17, 2009, at 3:00 PM at the Graniteville Cemetery with Rev. Barry T. Antley officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, April 16th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Napier Funeral Home. Memorials, in Mr. Yaun's honor, may be made to the Alzeheimers Association, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
