HOW CAN YOU say that Obama has cleaned up eight years of mess? And that he's done more in 80 days that President Bush did in eight years? I don't know where you've been, but I don't see it that way.
PLEASE STOP the Obama bashing! Don't you have anything else to write about?
A RANT to the idiot who e-mailed WJBF News Channel 6 complaining about the extensive weather updates Friday night: If you were in a large house alone, crying in a small bathroom and on your knees with a possible tornado coming your way, maybe you'd appreciate the constant coverage, as well as Brad and George's never-ending patience with repetitive questions from terrified viewers.
TO THE 48-YEAR-OLD man who said the government doesn't have the right to tell him to drive with his lights on during the rain: It is a matter of safety, not just for you, but others. In a storm, which automobile are you going to see first -- the one with its tail lights on or the one that doesn't? Which one is going to give you more time to brake? This is coming from a 32-year-old man who has also been driving automobiles in the rain with my lights on. I would also be interested in seeing your stats showing that it does not decrease the likelihood of an accident.
TO THE 48-YEAR-OLD dummy that drives without his headlights on. You're the idiot the rest of the public has to watch out for so we don't run over you.
TO THE 48-YEAR-OLD who doesn't like the government telling him to turn his headlights on in the rain. I drive a truck and in the rain I cannot see you behind me. Like a lot of drivers, you feel like if you can see me I can see you. Ride with me one time, and you'll have a different perspective. I've been driving 40 years accident-free. I do not advocate government intervention; try common sense and safety.
IF I LIVE to be 200 I won't use all the address labels that I have received free from different organizations. Being unemployed I am unable to make donations, yet I still receive the gifts. Save your money and stop printing and sending free address labels. Donate the cost to your causes.
More politically correct speech. Notice that politicians no longer say "broke" even when the U.S. is broke. They use the euphemism "deficit," which sounds hifalutin but still means broke.
BIG RAVES to Capt. Richard Phillips, who was willing to sacrifice himself for his crew, then thwarted the pirates who held him hostage. Cheers to the Navy for aiding Capt. Phillips' escape by shooting a few thugs. America still has heroes.
RAVES, RAVES and more raves for the citizens of Beech Island and those who came from all around to help clean up after the storm.
