Revolution against liberals is brewing

  • Follow Letters

President Barack Obama cannot kill the spirit of America.

Obama said everybody has to pay taxes because everybody's got to have some skin in the game. Well, this is talking truth to welfare. The market votes every day, and it is speaking every day by going down. This is what Americans are thinking.

There is a revolution out there. Here are a few examples of what is happening across America that the media are not reporting.

There were protests in Denver against Obama on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Michelle Malkin and friends of hers led the protest.

Obama was protested in Mesa, Ariz., at Dobson High School, where his event to sign the ridiculous mortgage bailout took place. Students in advance placement class laughed at what Obama was saying, and they disagreed profoundly with what Obama said. These are high-school students.

On Feb. 17, Rick Santelli reported from the Chicago Board of Trade, berating Obama for his handling of the economy.

Let me give you a brief overview of the parameters of the Obama housing plan. The cost of this plan is $75 billion. There are two groups of homeowners that are being looked at by the plan.

The first group is made up of people who cannot afford their mortgages and have fallen behind on their monthly payments.

Many of the people here in Group 1 took out loans they were never going to be able to afford. That means somebody knew from Day 1 they were never going to be able to pay back the loans. This first group comprises about 3 million people.

The second group is larger. It is made up of about 10 million households. They can afford their monthly payments, but their houses are worth less than what is owed on their mortgages. If they want to stay in their homes, they will have no trouble doing so, but some may choose to walk out voluntarily rather than continue to make payments on an investment that may never pay off.

The responsible people in the second group are going to get nothing. Obama is going to bail out the first group. They have contributed directly to the misfortune of the second group. The 3 million who can't pay, who were never going to pay, are the ones getting bailed out.

That is typical Obama and liberalism. You award the losers but punish the achievers. Government will be the focus of all economic activity, and is going to pick the winners and the losers. If you are an achiever, you are the loser. You are going to pay for the bailout of all the losers who refuse to pay their bills.

Liberals want to create dependents. They want to give somebody something for nothing.

Techlover: No need to get hysterical. I never said there needed to be a shootout. I simply stated that our military is trained for situations such as this and I did not feel that 4 pirates in an out of gas lifeboat holding a US citizen hostage required 4 to 5 days of decision making.

Oh yeah, NOWAY, Bush did it all. Our idiot Dem led congress pushing through these mortgage programs to people who couldn't afford them had nothing to do with our current problems. Oh, that oceanfront property in North Dakota you asked about is available...with a cheap mortgage, backed by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

Typical bygone strategy of Republicans... "fear". Doesn't work anymore, wantchange. Neo-conservatism has lost all its integrity. The real revolution must happen in your own party. Good luck.

No matter what the President

No matter what the President does- he will be critized for not being white, or republican. Its going to be interesting in 2012 when he wins again, these people are going to say "thank God its his last erm", then he'll get the third term and won't be the first to do it.

shivas.....None of Obamas

shivas.....None of Obamas policies have been implemented yet. The only money that has been distributed was the bailout money to stabilize the banks approved by the Bush administration. When Obmams tax increases are approved you will see the negative effect on the economy within a couple of years. And yes, I think there will be a revolution at the voting booth as the Dems tax tax tax policy takes effect. And justus4....you amaze me with that mind reading ability you have to be able to read an article and totally disregard what the writer says while you interpret for us so that you can rant about your same old crap. If you formulate all of this crap in you mind because you "live it" each day, then I must assume you are on welfare, live in subsidized housing, have too much time on your hands, and this stuff comes out of a drug induced haze where you justify your failure by blaming it on the white man. I hate to tell you this, but the current groundswell of resistance to some of the policies being proposed does not all come from talk radio. Some of us do not want to be told what we can do, taxed to death, and pay more so that you sorry welfare types can get a bigger flat screen TV.

I wonder how many idiot

I wonder how many idiot teabaggers that actually show up to protest a tax increase for the richest 2% in this country will actually be effected? Most likely, less than 2%. The vast majority of the rubes will actually be getting a tax cut under the "Liberal" President Obama.

bdittle, you have it exactly

bdittle, you have it exactly right. The politics of the right has been reduced to hysteria and fear mongering. Cons are forming up in ranks, preparing to march resolutely backwards into a past where white Christian males were still in charge. America is changing and they don't like it.
Their so-called "tea parties" are, in reality, little more than political circle jerks....

EEL, Cons are marching backwards? That's funny since you and your liberal friends seem to be goose-stepping to anything Fuhrer Obama tells them. America has gone through the "change," and a lot of people don't like it. I wonder how you'll spin it when the next elections come around in 2010 and the other side takes over. It's happened before...remember 1993? Nothing stays the same isn't just a song lyric.

Only idiots and blind

Only idiots and blind believers think anyone will get a tax cut. The increase in prices because of Cap and Trade on electricity and gas will wipe out any little $8 a week income tax cut by about 50 times. Look at the big picture you dummies. The income tax is only a portion of the taxes you pay and you can bet the Democrats are going to get way more taxes back from ALL of you than they give in their little "poor people" tax break.

bdittle, I too recognize that

bdittle, I too recognize that a tax cut just hit my check last pay period. Unfortunately, in my opinion it wasn't enough. For me it was only a $10.00 a week difference. How far does that go for a family of five, $2 extra dollars a week per person? We need something significantly more and it's not like my family doesn't pay taxes, between my wife and I last year our tax bill was over $40,000. And that was Just federal, that didn't include state or realestate taxes that were paid in addition. We pay tax for everything we do and it is sickening. HAs anyone ever sat down and calculated every penny of taxes paid out in a year? Neither of us received raises last year because the companies we work for are suffering. In fact I took a pay cut this year. I can assure you my mortgage company doesn't care that I took a pay cut, nor does the electric, gas, water or garbage and I don't see any of them reducing their rates. A revolt is coming, and those of you who don't relate will. Unfortunately, as I have said before we won't mobilize until we have lost it all and theres nothing else to lose.

Today is Tax Freedom Day.

Today is Tax Freedom Day. This is earlier than last year and about 2 weeks earlier than in 2007. All is not rosy though, The Tax Freedom Foundation states that Americans as a whole will pay more in taxes than they will spend on food, clothing and housing combined - and that is with the 2 years of tax cuts

mad_max on Mon Apr 13, 2009 10:31 AM I think the stimulas package (that included hugh bonuses for AIG execs, 9 billion for Reid's railroad from LA to Vages, millions for ACORN, etc etc) was inacted by congress (nobody had a chance to read it) and signed by Obama before he could read it. That is pure 100% pork at the democrates feet. The Dope smoking dems do need to get off thier collective a** and get to work or there won't ba an America and they will find themselves in reeducation camps learning to work for the good of Da Furher!

Not to discount the

Not to discount the importance of organized protest, but I have to echo the first comment up there and point out that a few isolated ones do not a revolution make. Honestly, its downright incredible how positive factions become when they're not in power that there is going to be a revolution in their favor. This administration isn't perfect, but it signals a change in the tide of American thinking; whether for better or for worse has yet to be proven, but I doubt seriously that we can judge it based on a mere 12 weeks in office.

tldyar:FDR was elected to 4 terms. He died before completing the fourth. The 22nd Amendment, ratified 2/27/1951, prevents anyone from being elected more than twice or serving for more than a total of 10 years. aftbrn:$40,000 federal tax and you're whining? Most Americans would be d*mned happy bringing in the kind of money to have that tax burden. The median household income in the US is around $48,000 dollars. You pay the same amount in taxes that about half the households in the US EARN. An extra $1040 per year makes a big difference to them. Quit your bellyachin".

Techlover: Please stop with the wealth envy. It does this country no good. We should applaud those that do well. They spend more and keep our economy going. EVERYONE should try and do the very best that they can. I work 2 jobs so that we can maintain a certain quality of life. Should I throw in the towel? What makes anyone think that they are entitled to something that they have not earned??? I do not get it. Help me understand.

Toldya, Yeh! it is but that is where we are headed. Obama fires the CEO of a car company (no constitutional authority or right), no problem, Bush fires 7 attorneys (as is his right and with in his authority) and the left goes nuts. The American press covers for the clown while the rest of the World laughs at him.
