Revolution against liberals is brewing

  • Follow Letters

President Barack Obama cannot kill the spirit of America.

Obama said everybody has to pay taxes because everybody's got to have some skin in the game. Well, this is talking truth to welfare. The market votes every day, and it is speaking every day by going down. This is what Americans are thinking.

There is a revolution out there. Here are a few examples of what is happening across America that the media are not reporting.

There were protests in Denver against Obama on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Michelle Malkin and friends of hers led the protest.

Obama was protested in Mesa, Ariz., at Dobson High School, where his event to sign the ridiculous mortgage bailout took place. Students in advance placement class laughed at what Obama was saying, and they disagreed profoundly with what Obama said. These are high-school students.

On Feb. 17, Rick Santelli reported from the Chicago Board of Trade, berating Obama for his handling of the economy.

Let me give you a brief overview of the parameters of the Obama housing plan. The cost of this plan is $75 billion. There are two groups of homeowners that are being looked at by the plan.

The first group is made up of people who cannot afford their mortgages and have fallen behind on their monthly payments.

Many of the people here in Group 1 took out loans they were never going to be able to afford. That means somebody knew from Day 1 they were never going to be able to pay back the loans. This first group comprises about 3 million people.

The second group is larger. It is made up of about 10 million households. They can afford their monthly payments, but their houses are worth less than what is owed on their mortgages. If they want to stay in their homes, they will have no trouble doing so, but some may choose to walk out voluntarily rather than continue to make payments on an investment that may never pay off.

The responsible people in the second group are going to get nothing. Obama is going to bail out the first group. They have contributed directly to the misfortune of the second group. The 3 million who can't pay, who were never going to pay, are the ones getting bailed out.

That is typical Obama and liberalism. You award the losers but punish the achievers. Government will be the focus of all economic activity, and is going to pick the winners and the losers. If you are an achiever, you are the loser. You are going to pay for the bailout of all the losers who refuse to pay their bills.

Liberals want to create dependents. They want to give somebody something for nothing.

Revolution, Lida? Wishful

Revolution, Lida? Wishful thinking! Two or three isolated and trivial protests hardly a revolution makes. There were one heck of a lot more protestors in the streets during the Bush administration and he handily survived an 8 year fiasco without being overthrown; although he did have to dodge a shoe or two (thrown by a citizen of a country that knows how to revolt against a government). :o) GGpap

Unpublished

This letter is insane! A complete waste of ink. What is this writer talking about? One thing is certain: This writer listens to hate-radio and believe everything that's said there. Here is what's happening. Republicans will continue to lose at the voting booth, so more will cling to their guns & Bibles, while attempting to bring down the president's numbers. His approval will increase, causing the radio talker's heads to explode, along with their uneducated audience. Next, they'll be talking about something "illegal" associated with the president or family member. However, their REAL problem is with his race. ("We" know this because we live it each day)"They" are seeing their lives flash before their eyes,(ha!) which is making them unpredictable and desperate. This LTE easily demonstartes that fact.

Here is a rule of thumb for

Here is a rule of thumb for making a strong argument: never cite Michelle Malkin. I cannot take anyone seriously who believes the words and/or actions of a woman who, and I quote "would take the comparison to Ann Coulter as somewhat of a compliment." And ggpap is right, a few random isolated incidents should hardly qualify as a revolution.

If one went strictly by the

If one went strictly by the comments and LTEs at the AC, one would have to conclude that we're living in a society that's about to fall apart because of division, hatred, resentment, racism, and religious fervor. Thank god that's not a representative sample of the country, or even a representative sample of the CSRA. I have to remind myself of that or I'd never leave the house in my Obama-stickered car and I'd be out there, myself, buying a gun.

I really think liberals are

I really think liberals are the biggest bunch of hypocrites that exist. The press and commentators all got on Palin for her ethical lapse because she took her family to New York for a Governors meeting. Pelosi spends millions of dollars flying her family to Rome, New York , etc all on the taxpayer's dime with out a word of ethical lapses. A republican says the wrong thing at a diner and is out. Chris Dodd inserts a bonus for executives into a piece of legislation and lies about it, get's sweet heart loans from corrupt mortgage company and lies about it and that is OK! You are really a bunch of hypocrites and should be ashamed of your party and the Franks, Dodd, Murtha (Marines are cold blooded killers) and Durban (American soldiers are nazies), Pelosi and Reid they are going to bankrupt America, then where will rest the of you get your welfare checks?

"we" "they" "us" "them" "our" "their" - no matter what ideology you have, words such as these are the reason this country is suffering such a schism.

I think that if things keep

I think that if things keep going in the direction they are going, there just might be a revolution of sorts. What did the writer say that was so off base? What she didnt say was that we have been rewarding bad behavior for YEARS. We are just getting to the breaking point. The newest example is the bad mortage decisions. If you want 14 babies and are a single mother, not only will we pay for their care and delivery, you can make millions on a reality show!!! We, as a whole, have been so tolerant of the intolerant. I work two jobs and pay my mortgage on time. What is my reward? I get to pay more taxes for the Octomoms of the country. I do not feel good about this. We talk about corporate greed. At least they are bringing something to the table. Welfare recipients are far more greedy. They ABSOLUTELY expect something for NOTHING. I for one am sick of it. Revolution??? Count me in.

Well, JUSTUS got 2 of his

Well, JUSTUS got 2 of his usual 3 rants in his post...right wing radio and race. He only left off the "non-minority media." I'm sure this was just an oversight, and he'll be posting his usual rants that make him loved by us all. And, I'll remind genius GGAP that Bush had high ratings early into his term. The O administration still hasn't filled all the vacancies for jobs to be done, and we all know that things can change overnight.

Lida: 1.Attendance at

Lida: 1.Attendance at Malkin's Denver "anti pork" rally-well over 100. population of metro Denver-2.5 million, photos of those in attendance (they're on the internet)- priceless. They look like folks you wouldn't want to leave your children alone with. 2. Rick Santelli-hedge fund manager and derivatives trader. Sounds like "Hey, we're the ones who screwed up the economy, I'd better try to blame someone else". 3. All of the students interviewed at the high school who were critical of Obama declared themselves as McCain supporters or Republican. You Repubs are bad winners and even worse losers.

Bizarre letter since Obama's

Bizarre letter since Obama's popularity is soaring, and he is delivering success with his economic policies and his handling of foreign crises. In fact, he's already had one more success than his predecessor as evidenced of his leadership and decision-making in the Somali Pirate affair. Success is something that right-wingers hate, which is why they constantly call for failure. Again, why do they hate America so badly?

Is Obama's popularity

Is Obama's popularity soaring? Are his economic and foreign policies successful? Where are you getting your information from? I am just curious. The very people that claim to despise GW will not acknowlege that between GW and O, O is spending more money on the bailout that GW started and it looks like O may leave the troops in Iraq longer than GW had planned. As far as the pirate situation, it should not take four days to think about how to take out four pirates. That is what our military is trained to do. The military just needs the word from the CIC. You really think 4-5 days is evidence of leadership and decision making skills? What if it was something on a larger scale than 4 pirates in an out of gas lifeboat? 4-5 days???

There are more than 500 tea

There are more than 500 tea parties, including the one in Augusta, scheduled to take place on April 15. The hard left think there are only 2 or 3 because that's what their source of information says. CNN and PBS despise individualism and those that support it. It's either socialism or nothing for these entities and those that get virtually all of the information from them. Who's surprised at the uninformed and misinformed stance of the foolish left. (excuse the redundancy).

Obama bowing to the king,

Obama bowing to the king, apologizing for America all over the place, saying crazy things like the muslims influanced America's formation (I can only think of negative things, Babary pirates, 9-11, Iranian hostage crises). Obama asked for help as he closed down Getmo and the French will take one prisoner. Askes Nato for 17,000 troups for Afganistan and gets a whopping zero. North Korea launches it's missile and Obama runs to the UN, wow I bet that scared North Korea (the UN puts some of the worst nations for abusing human rights on it's human rights commision, sends troups in to stop raping and killing and these same troups set up prostitution and rape rings). Iran anounces 7,000 centrifuges and Obama says we will talk. GREAT SUCESSES folks!!

Back to the LTE. This letter

Back to the LTE. This letter is a bit confusing. Does the writer propose that something be done for group 2? These are also the folks that saw the dollar signs and bit on the higher appraisal values and re-financed. If they can afford the payments then so be it, things are about to be tight for everyone. Group 1 was givven loans they could not afford which must be partly blamed on the lender.

I dont think it much matters

I dont think it much matters to who is in office. They are all in it together. We the people who are paying now will be paying more. If the Christian people of all color and creed dont band together and revolt in a peaceful vote counting way we will watch our values crumble!

PT: all your talk about "tea

PT: all your talk about "tea parties" is a bit ridiculous. As I recall my American history, the original "tea party" was held in Boston to denounce "taxation without representation." The colonists had no representation in the British parliament. The current U.S. administration policies are being executed by a President and a Congress freely elected by the American voting public. To the extent we have taxes, they are taxes WITH representation. The difference should be fairly easy to grasp, even by someone such as you, PT! The problems conservatives have today are almost exactly the opposite of the problems the colonists faced 235 years ago. The colonists had no elections; conservatives just lose them....

I work to damn hard to keep

I work to damn hard to keep giving my money away to the tax man so he can redistribute to those who don't deserve. Revolution, I'm in. This whole bail out bullschnitt has been eating me since it started. I was a Bush supporter but did not support the bailout. Small businesses fail everyday and no one is there to bail them out. Families struggling to maintain everyday and no one is there to bail them out. Letting these companies fail opens opportunities for others to potentially run it more effectively. This is about those in power not wanting to lose it.

The thing that bothers me is

The thing that bothers me is that yes people who were irresponsible will get some help but I would bet that even with the help they end of in foreclosure again. And the $8000 tax credit for first time buyers--I understand the thought behind this but what about everyone else who has been making our payments and being responsible--on that is right--responsibilities is not a good thing anymore.

Lida is a nutjob. I don't think right wing crazies should talk when their president messed up the economy and our country into something no one can recognize. No one had any better ideas, so suck it up. The markets are still reacting to bush's failed policies. And also, it's dependence, not dependents.
