Bottom line

We more readily equate clean slates and fresh starts with the first day of the new year.

But that's little more than a date on a calendar. If there were one day a year to be particularly reflective about new beginnings, it would have to be Easter Sunday.

It is one of the holiest of Christian days, marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But the spirit of Easter can be embraced by everyone, not just people who have embraced the risen Jesus.

It is a time of renewal. Rebirth. It's about embarking on something new, not necessarily about starting over.

Hope is a good feeling to have, whether you find it within your faith or within yourself. On a day that demonstrates the hope of something better that awaits us, here's hoping you celebrate a joyous Easter with people you care about.
