Pierce McClattie (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Pierce McClattie, Sr., entered into rest on Friday, April 3, 2009 at University Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Olive Grove Baptist Church, Appling, GA with Rev. Dr. R. F. Leverett officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. McClattie, a native of Columbia County, was retired from J & J Midsouth Company after twenty six years of service and was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church where served as a deacon. Survivors are wife, Lorene Lampkin McClattie; three daughters, Shannon McClattie, JoAnna McClattie, Charlotte, NC, Connie Scott, Martinez, GA; sons, Lance Lampkin, Augusta, Mark Scott, Martinez, GA; fourteen grandchildren ; three brothers, Ben (Belinda) McClattie, Edward McClattie, Alonzo (Elaine) McClattie, Augusta; sisters, Mary Zamor, Thelma McClattie, JoAnne Pounds, Durley McClattie, Augusta, Bertha Singleton, Dearing, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
